Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 November 2026
1. Using GILTS
GILTS is a free explorer for UK conventional gilts. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. What the site shows
GILTS joins public reference data from the UK Debt Management Office (DMO) with market prices from dividenddata.co.uk. It then calculates prices, yields, coupon income and tax estimates for each gilt. The figures help you compare gilts. They are not a quote, an offer or a dealing price.
3. Not financial or tax advice
GILTS does not give financial, investment or tax advice, and it does not recommend a gilt. The tax estimates are illustrative. They leave out your full tax position, dealing costs and your other investments. Speak to a qualified adviser, and confirm the price with your broker, before you trade.
4. Data accuracy and limits
The price source does not date its quotes, so the DMO snapshot sets the valuation date. Prices can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Coupon dates and the ex-dividend period follow simplified rules. Gross YTM assumes you reinvest each coupon at the same yield. Check any figure that matters to you against your broker's quote.
5. Your use of the site
Use GILTS for personal research or another lawful purpose. Do not disrupt the site, request it at a rate that degrades it for other people, or present its estimates as advice from GILTS.
6. Ownership
The GILTS interface and code belong to their authors. The gilt data belongs to its publishers, the DMO and dividenddata.co.uk. Check a publisher's terms before you reuse its data.
7. Liability
GILTS is provided as is and as available. The site does not warrant that it will run without interruption or error. To the extent the law allows, GILTS and its contributors are not liable for a loss that comes from using the site or relying on its figures, including lost profit or a poor investment decision. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms can change as the site changes. The date at the top shows the last update. If you keep using GILTS after a change, you accept the new terms.
